Subscriptions and Refunds
How LookFlex Pro billing works with Apple, how to cancel, when you can get a refund, and how Lab credits work. These rules form part of our Terms of Service.

How you buy
You buy LookFlex Pro and Lab credits inside the app, with Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple takes the payment from your Apple Account and handles billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds under its own terms, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (opens in a new tab). We never see your card number or other payment details. The rest of our Terms of Service still applies to your use of LookFlex.
When a purchase completes, the app sends Apple's signed transaction to our server. Our server checks Apple's signature and records the purchase against your LookFlex account, which is what unlocks Pro or adds your credits. Apple also sends our server a notice when a subscription renews, expires or is refunded, so that your Pro status stays correct. You do not need to sign in to LookFlex to buy: a purchase made without signing in is recorded against the anonymous account of that installation. The Privacy Policy lists the purchase records we keep.
Plans and prices
| Product | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| LookFlex Pro, weekly | $4.99 | Charged every week, renews automatically |
| LookFlex Pro, monthly | $9.99 | Charged every month, renews automatically |
| LookFlex Pro, yearly | $39.99 | Charged every year, renews automatically |
| Lab credit pack (30 credits) | $6.99 | One-time payment |
Prices are in US dollars for the US App Store. In other countries the App Store shows the price in your local currency before you confirm. Tax may be included in that price or added when you buy, depending on where you live. Your bank may add currency conversion fees.
Automatic renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and Apple charges the then-current price within 24 hours before the period ends. You can see your plan and its renewal date in your Apple Account settings.
How to cancel
You can cancel at any time. We cannot cancel an App Store subscription for you, so you do it with Apple, on your iPhone:
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then choose LookFlex Pro.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Apple lists the steps for other devices on its cancellation page (opens in a new tab). Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel at least 24 hours before that period ends, you will not be charged again. Deleting the app or your LookFlex account does not cancel a subscription.
If you lose access to Pro
Your subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to your iPhone, and it unlocks Pro in one LookFlex account at a time: the last one that bought or restored it. If you reinstall the app, move to a new iPhone or switch to another LookFlex account, use the same Apple Account on the iPhone and choose Restore Purchases in the app. Pro then moves to the LookFlex account you are using. A subscription can change LookFlex account at most three times in 30 days. You do not need to sign in to LookFlex to restore. If Pro still does not show, email [email protected] with your Apple receipt and we will help.
Price changes
We may change prices. We will tell you in the app at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. Apple also tells subscribers before a new price applies, as its rules require, and where Apple needs your agreement to a price increase, your subscription continues at the new price only if you agree. The new price applies from your first renewal after that notice. If you do not want it, cancel before that renewal.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Apple may keep trying it for a while. If it still fails, the subscription ends and Pro stops. You can subscribe again at any time.
Refunds
Apple handles refunds for purchases made in the app, under its own policy and the law where you live. We cannot issue or reverse an App Store charge ourselves.
- To ask for a refund, sign in to Report a Problem (opens in a new tab), choose “I'd like to”, then “Request a refund”. Apple explains the steps on its refund page (opens in a new tab) and decides each request.
- If something went wrong on our side, for example we ended your Pro access without cause or removed a main Pro feature, email [email protected] and we will help you get the unused part of the period refunded through Apple.
- When Apple refunds a purchase, it tells our server. A refunded subscription stops unlocking Pro, and the credits from a refunded credit pack are taken off your balance, never below zero.
- Where the law gives you a right to a refund, that right applies and nothing in these documents limits it.
EU and UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. The right ends early if you asked for a digital product or service to start straight away and agreed that you would lose it. For a subscription it applies to your first purchase, not to later renewals. Because you buy through Apple, you withdraw with Apple, under the terms Apple shows for your country, and Apple handles the reimbursement. The rights that consumer law gives you stay yours.
Lab credits
- What a credit is: one Lab credit pays for one Lab generation (for example, a potential preview or a hairstyle try-on). If a generation fails, the credit is returned automatically.
- Where credits come from: you get 1 free credit the first time you sign in, once per account. An account you have not signed in to has no free credit. While you have Pro, your balance is topped up to 20 credits once every 30 days, counted per subscription as well as per account, so moving a subscription to another account does not bring an extra top-up. You can also buy packs of 30.
- Expiry: purchased credits do not expire. The Pro top-up does not roll over: it raises your balance to 20 if it is lower, and does not add to a higher balance.
- In your account: your credit balance is kept on our servers, in your LookFlex account, not on your iPhone. If you are signed in, your credits are there when you sign in on another iPhone. If you have not signed in, they belong to the anonymous account of that installation, so sign in before you delete the app or change iPhone if you want to keep them. Deleting your account deletes its credits, and they cannot be brought back.
- Adding credits: after you buy a pack, the app sends Apple's signed transaction to our server, which checks it and adds the credits to your account. Each purchase is added once, so Restore Purchases does not add a pack a second time. If your credits do not appear, email [email protected] with your Apple receipt.
- Refunds: used credits cannot be returned. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged. Refunds for credit packs are handled by Apple, as described above.
